Game Marketing Case Study

RIFTSTORM CAMPAIGN

Riftstorm is an action-packed co-op shooter game that blends top-down mechanics, intense multiplayer battles, and stylized visuals.

To build early traction around the game’s pre-alpha phase, the developers partnered with Sekkei Digital Group to launch an integrated livestream campaign on Bilibili, leveraging China’s gaming KOL ecosystem to spark curiosity and drive engagement.

The Challenge

The challenge was to clearly communicate gameplay depth and visual appeal while managing audience expectations at an early development stage. Chinese gamers are highly selective, making authenticity critical. The campaign required creators who could explain mechanics in real time, engage viewers, and encourage interaction while staying aligned with platform and content standards.

Our Solutions

To address this challenge, we activated Bilibili’s gaming creator community and supported the livestream campaign end to end, from influencer sourcing to post-stream reporting, ensuring alignment with the client’s goals.

KOC Collaborations on Bilibili

  • Enrolled three gaming KOCs to stream RIFTSTORM pre-alpha gameplay on Bilibili.
  • Managed the full campaign lifecycle, including creator sourcing, briefing on gameplay highlights, and live session support.
  • Ensured content followed campaign guidelines while supervising streams to maximize interaction and viewer retention.

Campaign Tracking and Optimization

  • Monitored livestream views, engagement, and audience feedback to assess creator impact and campaign performance.
  • Conducted post-stream analysis and provided optimization recommendations for the official launch following the pre-alpha playtest.

The Results

The RIFTSTORM livestream campaign drew strong early attention from Bilibili users. With only three KOCs, the campaign delivered tens of thousands of views and engagements, demonstrating that focused, well-managed influencer activations can deliver impressive ROI even in the pre-launch stage.
