FMCG Marketing Case Study
UCDA CAMPAIGN
The Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) is a local government body mandated to regulate, promote, and oversee coffee quality across the country’s global value chain. As it continued to grow in the Chinese market, the organization needed to boost its presence on local social media platforms.
To support that goal, Sekkei Digital Group managed UCDA’s content planning, copywriting, design, and publishing of the organization’s WeChat articles.
The Challenge
UCDA had a clear institutional mission and a credible brand story, but conveying that messaging for Chinese audiences required a platform-specific content strategy.
The challenge was to establish a consistent digital presence on WeChat that could build awareness, communicate credibility, and present Uganda’s coffee sector in ways that aligned with Chinese digital behavior.
Our Solutions
Our work focused on giving UCDA’s official WeChat presence more structure, consistency, and local relevance. Through a monthly retainer, we created content that made Ugandan coffee more credible and visible to Chinese audiences.

FMCG MARKETING IN CHINA FOR FOREIGN BRANDS
Chinese consumers rarely rely on brand messaging alone when evaluating FMCG products. Search visibility, creator recommendations, and ongoing digital presence all shape purchase consideration, which is why our strategies focus on helping foreign consumer brands build trust and stronger relevance across China’s fragmented online landscape.
